Thermal degradation of metal novolak precursors for high temperature superconductors: thermogravimetric and mass spectroscopy studies

摘要: High temperature superconductor (HTS) materials were prepared from novolak metal precursors in a special annealing process. In the present paper thermal behaviour of pure cresol novolaks and salt (nitrate) was investigated by means simultaneous thermogravimetric analysis mass spectroscopy air. The results show significant differences stability between precursors, with respect to process as well products decomposition. main volatile for are CO2, H2O NO, thus indicating that degradation formation oxides at about 300 °C.
