Cahuachi and Pampa de Atarco: Towards Greater Comprehension of Nasca Geoglyphs

摘要: In the Nasca world, geoglyphs represented a concept of sacredness, complementary, and alternative to, ceremonial centers. order to provide more data on complementary nature sacred spaces temples , some investigations have been performed in Pampa de Atarco. The results from surveys mapping show intensive use desert pavement. patterns analysis placed into evidence at least five groups ground drawings, each them characterized by specific motif shape, associated with distinct function. morphological reveals centrality one group meandering figure, clear function, which stands out number trapezoids lines, superimposed other. survey conducted remote/sensing techniques revealed presence aligned along directions winter solstice equinox sunset. As whole, complex Atarco presents spatial functional characteristics venue collective gatherings where events linked agriculture calendar were celebrated.
