摘要: Diamond-cell techniques now permit detailed studies of the physical properties materials, including dense solid hydrogen, under static conditions to multimegabar pressures (to 300 GPa). Recent diamond-cell experiments in this pressure range are reviewed, with particular emphasis on crystal structure, vibrational dynamics, and optical hydrogen at very high densities. The continued investigations calibration standards characterization diamond anvils stresses examined, results relevant shock-wave compared. include further 150-GPa transition, observations changes higher pressures, evidence for new transformations.
