Light trapping in amorphous silicon solar cells with periodic grating structures

摘要: Abstract We report on the design of amorphous silicon solar cells with periodic grating structures. It is a combination an anti-reflection structure and metallic reflection grating. Optical coupling light trapping in thin-film are studied numerically using Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis enhanced by Modal Transmission Line theory. The impact parameters gratings investigated. results revealed that within incident angles − 40 ° to + 40 reflectivity cell period 0.5 μm, filling factor 0.1 groove depth 0.4 μm 4%–22.7% wavelength range 0.3–0.6 μm 1%–20.8% 0.6–0.84 μm, absorption enhancement a-Si layer 0.4%–10.8% 20%–385%, respectively.
