摘要: The major complications of thyroid and parathyroid surgery include hemorrhage, respiratory obstruction, hyperthyroid storm, hypoparathyroidism, laryngeal nerve injury. In this article, the incidence, diag-nosis, treatment various are reviewed, with emphasis on hypoparathyroidism vocal cord paralysis, either bilateral or unilateral. Thy-roplastic phonosurgery carbon dioxide laser ary-tenoidectomy, two recent surgical additions to rehabilitation described in depth.
