摘要: The literal meaning of lithotripsy is the “act breaking stones.” There are two forms available for use in veterinary medicine: electrohydraulic shock-wave (EHL) and extracorporeal (ESWL). With EHL, a shockwave generated immediately adjacent to urolith within urinary bladder. In dogs, nephroliths or ureteroliths can be successfully treated with ESWL. ESWL, shock-waves outside body directed toward urolith.
