摘要: Biofuel production from plant biomass is a promising source of renewable energy [1]. However, efficient biofuel involves the complex task engineering high-performance microorganisms, which requires detailed knowledge metabolic function and regulation. This review highlights potential mass-spectrometry-based metabolomic analysis to guide rational biofuel-producing microbes. We discuss recent studies that apply gained analyses increase productivity engineered pathways, characterize metabolism emerging producers, generate novel bioproducts, enable utilization lignocellulosic feedstock, improve stress tolerance producers.
