摘要: Coumarin and warfarin, two substances which are intensively metabolized in animals humans, were tested for teratogenicity embryo lethality a 3-day vitro assay using zebrafish embryos. Warfarin is coumarin derivative, but contrast to the mother substance warfarin has anticoagulant properties. Both produced teratogenic lethal effects The LC(50) EC(50) values 855 μM 314 μM, respectively; corresponding 988 194 μM. For coumarin, three main or fingerprint endpoints (malformation of head, tail growth retardation) identified, whereas malformation was only endpoint warfarin. analysis ratios between effect concentrations both human therapeutic plasma confirmed potential as well equivocal status coumarin.
