摘要: The incidence of cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) has been rising in fair-skinned populations throughout the world for decades. upward trend may, however, finally be slowing some these populations. Recent (1983–1996) CMM trends a high area (New South Wales, Australia) have examined according to gender, age group, body site and tumour thickness. Despite continuing older groups, particularly among men (e.g., 7.20% increase per year aged 75+), younger ages is stabilizing (in men) or declining women): average annual percentage changes −3.03 −0.88 were observed women 15–34 35–54, respectively. Patterns suggest birth-cohort effect, with those born since 1945 1950 having lower (females) similar (males) rates earlier. For each all-ages rose by amount main sites except leg women, where fell 0.49% year. In men, both thin (≤75 mm) thick (>75 melanomas increased (significantly, 2.63% non-significantly, 0.93% year, respectively) between 1989 1996. remained stable thickness subgroups. These data are consistent stabilization reduction either total sun exposure intermittency New Wales cohorts about 1950.
