摘要: Asymmetries in both intrasexual competition and generation overlap occur Antechinus (Dasyuridae; Marsupialia). We show that the range of interpopulation variation sex ratio pouch young spans exceeds ratios at birth hitherto recorded from eutherians (Clutton-Brock Albon 1983). Although postweaning dispersal male mortality are similar among all populations, variance female longevity leads to variable duration mother/daughter interaction. As this increases, parental investment is increasingly biased toward males, supporting view local kin for resources may influence mammalian ratios.
