摘要: Ammonia inhibition of unacclimated anaerobic mesophilic mixed cultures was studied in batch mode. Bacterial growth rate and specific acetate-uptake were affected by the concentration un-ionised ammonia (UAN) a three-stage pattern: initial inhibition, plateau final stage. The un-competitive model provided most reasonable data fit. stage pattern suggested that more than one mechanism UAN are acting on culture. effects length lag-time also followed three-staged curve. High resulted acetate release. biological basis origin release not determined.
