摘要: Bio-based production of organic acids via microbial fermentation has been traditionally used in food industry. With the recent desire to develop more sustainable bioprocesses for fuels, chemicals and materials, market further expanded as constitute a key group among top building block that can be produced from renewable resources. Here we review current status citric acid lactic acid, highlight use modern metabolic engineering technologies high performance microbes succinic 3-hydroxypropionic acid. Also, limitations challenges are discussed.
