摘要: SUMMARY Two types of anticoagulant rodenticides have proven successful at eradicating invasive rats and mice from islands. Brodifacoum is the most commonly used has a low failure rate both when delivered air ground-based systems. It does , however, present risk to non-target animals suc h as birds. When such not acceptable or canno t be mitigated, diphacinone been favoured by some managers because it less toxic birds persistent in rodents. However, unlike brodifacoum, requires rodent eat s everal baits over several days ingest lethal d ose. This increases that all rodents will b e killed. data on attempts eradicate nd for aerial methods are c ombined, brodifacoum significantly lower 17% (54 322 attempts) than dipha cinone 33% (13 39 attempts). The difference i more significant just considered. Gro und-based show similar rates rodenticides, but date very few attempt using aerially sown had high compared with brodifacou m.
