摘要: This chapter reviews the role of Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging in prostate cancer with emphasis on functional techniques and roles focal therapy. Multiparametric MR sequences applied for include T2-weighted MR, proton spectroscopic imaging, diffusion-weighted dynamic contrast-enhanced quantitative imaging. These provide information independent characteristics normal cancerous tissue, including normal/abnormal ductal morphology, concentrations metabolites relevant to cancer, water diffusion rates which are affected by cellularity, blood flow volumes therefore vascularity, respectively. The provided these methods can be used determine presence location cancers high sensitivity specificity. Prostate MRI diagnosing predicting organ-confined localization intra-glandular estimation volume. It has been directed transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy, direct MR-guided MR-transrectal ultrasound fusion describes what is known about potential combining improve selection, guidance, subsequent monitoring effectiveness
