Self-awareness and physical aggression

摘要: Abstract A theory of self-awareness was applied to aggression. In Experiment I, men were given an opportunity aggress against women in the presence a mirror, audience, or neither. The mirror significantly inhibited aggression, but audience did not. II, only when there frequent eye contact between aggressor and audience. These results consistent with predictions derived from theory.
