摘要: Abstract Introduction There is strong interest in the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) globally. This paper first to report population-based data on ever-use and current e-cigarettes among New Zealand adults. The also extends previous international studies by exploring reasons for trying e-cigarettes, ever users' recall brand(s) they have tried, their brand. Methods Health Lifestyles Survey (HLS) a biennial face-to-face in-house survey adults aged 15 years or over. In 2014, 2594 participants completed survey. Results Ever-use were 13.1% 0.8% respectively. Tobacco smoking status predicted with smokers reporting highest rate (50% 4% use). Among who had tried an e-cigarette, curiosity (49%) desire quit (37%) most common trying. About half ever-users could not name any one-fifth users Conclusions Compared other countries, has high ever-use. smokers, one two e-cigarette. However, progression regular appears be rare. finding that 18% e-cigarette brand highlights importance investigating knowledge general assessing factors influence choice such as advertising, price, accessibility.
