摘要: Framing a collective identity is an essential process in social movement. The defines the orientation of public actions to take and establishes informal interaction network for circulating important information material resources. While domestic movements emphasize coherence alliance, global or cyber activism now flexible its given rise Internet. A campaign may include diverse movement organizations (SMOs) with different agendas. This framing encourages personal involvement direct action. On other hand, it damage solidarity within SMOs make campaigns difficult control. To assess sustainability SMO, understand codes embedded associated societies cyber-artifacts. In this chapter, we took cyber-archaeology approach used international Falun Gong (FLG) as case study investigate identity-framing issue. We employed Social Network Analysis Writeprint analyze FLG’s cyber-artifacts from perspectives links, web content, forum content. link analysis, sites linked closely Chinese democracy human rights SMOs, reflecting historical conflicts government after official ban 1999. content writings Hongzhi Li his editors, found that Li’s center around ideological teaching Dafa while editors post specific programs realize teaching.
