摘要: Objectives: Using a segmented attenuation map for PET correction can introduce errors because of the differences in average coefficient (AC) between patients. We investigated this inter-patient variability lung tissue, cortical bone and liver tissue estimated effect on reconstructed images. Methods: Lungs, were using thresholding region-growing 20 whole-body CT data sets. For each subject type AC was calculated. The standard deviation values then calculated as measure variability. A FDG scan NCAT phantom simulated. Four 2 cm lesions placed lungs, spine, prostate. 4 maps: reference with correct assigned to class 3 modified maps larger or (+ 1 SD). Results: patient is shown figure. clearly largest (SD = 0.004 cm-1), followed by 0.002 cm-1) 0.001 cm-1). table shows seen lesion incorrect (8.2 %). Changing has little effect, even spine (1.5 %) (2.1 respectively. Conclusions: Inter-patient coefficients have significant quantitation PET. small.
