摘要: This study evaluates the effect of transportation infrastructure, including roads and railroads, on agricultural output across 44 states in U.S. from 1981 to 2004. Applying a spatial Durbin model (SDM) considering four different weight matrices, spillover infrastructure is analyzed. By catching dependence both dependent explanatory variables, results suggest that road disbursement state generally has positive direct effects its own output. The neighboring varies with respect matrix used model. Moreover, simulation analysis based using second order contiguity shows enhancement central region larger compared coastal or border states. No significant rail identified this study.
