摘要: Abstract Aims The Maxillofacial region being one of the most complex areas human body, fractures in this are often accompanied by gross swelling and lacerations which further complicates clinical examination obscures underlying skeletal injury. present study is undertaken to find out efficiency CT scan their 3D images for evaluating maxillofacial trauma as compared conventional radiographs. Settings design Prospective data collection Materials methods Patients reporting at K.L.E.S Hospital research Institute with suspected facial and/or craniofacial were examined radiographs computed tomography twenty eight patients selected. Proper consent regarding procedure was taken from patients/relatives. Statistical analysis used Epi InfoTM Results A total 28 included study. Mean age 39.25 years (SD ± 13.1533, range 10–65). Majority (92.9%) male (Fig. 1) young adults 2) common cause injuries road traffic accidents [(82.1%) Fig. 3]. Out 13 semi or unconscious time admission. Conclusions With wider availability scanners, it increasingly first line investigation assist diagnosis treatment planning provide more details where a significant injury cannot be simply assessed plain films. In acutely injured patient provides effective, safe reasonably rapid pattern multiple skeleton along soft tissue intracranial cervical spine It desirable obtain cost equipment facility not limiting factors.
