摘要: Abstract (Ni, Fe) 3 Al intermetallic compound was synthesized by mechanical alloying (MA) of Ni, Fe and elemental powder mixtures composition Ni 50 25 . Phase transformation microstructure characteristics the alloy powders were investigated X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that resulted in a (Al, solid solution. By continued milling, this structure transformed to disordered compound. A thermodynamic model developed on basis extended theory Miedema is used calculate Gibbs free-energy changes. Final product MA phase having minimal free energy compared with other competing phases Ni–Fe–Al system. However system, most stable at all compositions (not amorphous or solution). analysis revealed leading role formation prediction.
