摘要: Abstract Studies were initiated in May 1975 to determine the impact of a new nickel refinery on ambient mercury level sediments taken from Halifax Bay, Australia. Although levels relatively low all samples, surface found contain 2.5–3.0 times concentration subsurface samples. However, sediment samples collected adjacent outfall within first three weeks continuous discharge showed significant increases when compared with areas not affected by refinery.
