摘要: Abstract The objective of this investigation was to determine whether uric acid excretion could serve as an indicator dietary protein quality. In the first study, 15% diets were formulated using either whole egg protein, soybean meal, safflower meal or casein, latter 3 proteins supplemented with their most limiting amino (methionine, lysine and arginine, respectively). Chicks fed grew more rapidly efficiently excreted less acid. Good agreement noted between efficiency ratio (PER) indicators Two studies conducted chicks containing raw flakes autoclaved for varying periods time without methionine supplementation. Similar chick performance, PER which had been 20, 40 120 min. Poorer performance 10 When lysine, negative effects inadequate heating partially alleviated. results indicated that adequate supplementation both essential maximal two factors influenced utilization in different ways additive.
