摘要: The present work explores and discusses the derivation application of a generic mathematical model (Multiple Continuum Interacting Model, MCIM) in prediction effectiveness dynamics for trickling biofilter treating toluene. A computational solution strategy is presented, including proper validation study case. Then, numerical studies dimensionless Peclet Sherwood numbers (Pe Sh) are discussed; effect these over efficiency behavior shown. For Two phases (TIC), three sophistication levels compared, concluding that growth phenomenon (including inoculation process) crucial designing modelling biofiltrations systems by MIMC’s. Achieving with MDC 2 an ER< 8% being approach comes closest to experimental data reported literature.
