摘要: Copper (Cu2+) is an essential element that plays important roles in physiological functions of the body. However, high Cu2+ levels can have toxic implications. This study aims to investigate constitutive response exposure xenobiotic-metabolizing enzymes cultured rat liver (H4-II-E) cell lines. Rat cells were exposed copper sulfate (0–500 μM) for 24 h. The effects on messenger RNA (mRNA) expressions phase I and II regulatory elements examined using real-time PCR. Metallothionein mRNA expression was induced a dose-dependent manner after treatment with Cu2+. such as cytochrome P450 1A1 1A2 (CYP1A1 CYP1A2) slightly low concentrations Cu2+; however, CYP1A1 CYP1A2 significantly downregulated at higher concentrations. These corresponded aryl hydrocarbon receptor mRNA. reduced upon In conclusion, enzyme modulated exposure. results indicated had toxicological implications H4-II-E cells.
