摘要: Endoscopic third ventriculostomy is a minimally invasive technique to treat hydrocephalus, which condition in the patient retaining excessive amount of cerebrospinal fluid head. While this surgical procedure fairly routine, it carries some risks, mainly associated with lack depth perception, since monocular endoscopes provide only 2D views. We studied advantages given by 3D stereoendoscope over endoscope, first assessing variability stereoacuity each subject, then analyzing their overall correct response rate differentiating between heights two different images and vision.
