摘要: To assess the extent of overlap between clinically diagnosed patients with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and corticobasal ganglionic degeneration (CBGD) we compared clinical scores for rigidity, bradykinesia, gaze abnormalities, hemineglect limb apraxia, postural instability, neck dystonia in 15 a degenerative rigid-akinetic syndrome at presentation followup 3 to 120 months later. Only presence hemineglect, usually combination was reliable early factor discriminating these two conditions. These symptoms were present admission all 4 CBGD but not any 11 PSP either or later during serial examinations. Though ophthalmoplegia, instability already observed most presentation, their remained low those over longterm. CT-scans MRI helpful supporting clinically-based diagnoses made that vast majority exhibited various degrees midbrain atrophy 50 percent asymmetric pericentral cortical atrophy.
