Nonlinear analysis of laminar boundary layer flow over a periodic wavy surface

摘要: The problem of laminar, incompressible flow over a periodic wavy surface is treated as first‐order perturbation to the boundary layer on flat surface. analysis demonstrates that some nonlinear terms in disturbance boundary‐layer equations are first order if wave amplitude and sublayer thickness comparable magnitude. Further, theory predicts effects confined thin adjacent Computer‐generated, solutions presented for sinusoidal waves with range amplitudes, including cases local separated regions.
