摘要: The World Health Organization lists a constellation of 17 tropical diseases that afflict approximately one in six individuals on the planet and, until recently, few resources have been devoted to treatment and eradication those diseases. They are often referred as "bottom billion," because they most prevalent among poorest impoverished nations. However, studies performed reveal an extraordinary world molecular cellular adaptations facilitate pathogens' survival hosts ranging from insects humans. A compelling case can be made even modest investment toward understanding basic cell biology these neglected pathogens has high probability yielding exciting new mechanisms insights into novel ways combating
