Semi-analytic modelling of galaxy formation: The local Universe

摘要: Using semi-analytic models of galaxy formation, we investigate properties such as the Tully-Fisher relation, B and K-band luminosity functions, cold gas contents, sizes, metallicities, colours, compare our results with observations local galaxies. We several different recipes for star formation supernova feedback, including choices that are similar to treatment in Kauffmann, White & Guiderdoni (1993) Cole et al. (1994) well some new recipes. obtain good agreement all key mentioned above. In particular, best models, simultaneously produce both observed functions I-band relation. Improved cooling feedback modelling, inclusion dust extinction, an improved Press-Schechter model contribute this success. present variants CDM family cosmologies, find values 0 ≃ 0.3–0.5 give observations.
