Synthesising emerging issues within key futures study reports in construction

摘要: Most futures studies aim to help people better prepare for their future by identifying and examining emerging issues relevant them. In the last decade, there have been a range of published individuals and organisations within the construction sector wider afield. Despite this, little has been done on synthesising and classifying analysing substantive content these studies. A thorough search study reports in construction conducted from which key were selected be examined detail. Content analysis was employed identify then used populate matrix showing relationship between identified. This yielded 337 emerging issues, both internal external industry were classified under six major themes, namely ‘technological’, ‘environmental’, ‘social’, ‘economic’, ‘governance’ ‘construction industry’. Each is discussed. The key characteristics these including possible inter-connectivities among them are subsequently explained. paper concluded with brief discourse our future research work this area associated methodologies employed.
