SYNOVITIS OF THE HIP IN CHILDREN AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

摘要: Transient synovitis of the hip and Legg-Calve-Perthes (LCP) disease are commonest causes painful in young children. While prognosis for transient is generally good, experience with this series patients indicates that LCP may be antedated by a stage indistinguishable from transient, self-limiting synovitis. Since drastically different synovitis, early differential diagnosis essential. To end closer observation children warranted.
