摘要: Electric power grid operation is a critical activity in which control room operators supervise the status of infrastructure order to avoid undesirable situations. One most important tasks this projecting ahead state real time. This task currently based on managing alarms, with responsibility operator estimate both their relevance and evolution A review traditional alarm visualization formats highlights some deficiencies, may lead operating inefficiencies or even problems. Driven by field study, paper presents Alarm Trend Catcher, an innovative approach aimed at assisting not only perception upcoming alarms but also projection future states electric grid. The user study shows supporting evidence its benefits for gaining interesting operational insights from information.
