摘要: Water is a key issue in sustainable urban development. SWIM (Simulating Water, Individuals and Management) an agent-based model of water supply, management structure, residential consumer perception behavior. Initial work applied data mining on newspaper articles to map networks institutions structures. extends this by linking consumption connected via managers global-scale hydrological model. In our case study, we focus Tucson, Arizona, where social behaviors are well documented. Census used create synthetic populations consumers endowed with price sensitivity impacting use. Social networks, including those based geographic proximity, allow use spread others. We examine possible factors leading recent attested declines per-capita use, leveraging ensemble runs high-performance computing resources using the Swift parallel scripting language strategically explore complex parameter spaces.
