摘要: Abstract This paper seeks to measure the effect of long term non-invasive pavement deterioration on accident injury-severity rates, and demonstrate potential considering safety as one criteria in management decision making process. Using data from Indiana, a system seemingly unrelated regression equations (SURE) is estimated predict curves over 30-year projection period based three commonly used performance indicators. The annual predictors roughness, rutting depth, condition rating are then multivariate tobit model vehicle rates. results provide expected change no injury, fatality due deterioration, compared budget-unrestricted scenario under which rehabilitation occurs routinely. Even though aim not an optimal program, findings suggest that should be considered criteria.
