摘要: Although adolescents are severely and chronically physically abused, relatively little attention has been directed towards understanding this phenomenon. This study explored the family characteristics behavioral-emotional reactions of 77 who were maltreated. The youths selected at a number sites including runaway shelter, hospital-based child abuse team, protective service unit. Six different patterns adolescent reaction to identified: acting-out, depression, generalized anxiety, extreme adjustment, emotional-thought disturbance, helplessness-dependency. Abuse toward these youth had ongoing for an average nearly five years. As there no differences in emotional-behavioral between subjects abused only during adolescence (including single-incident abuse) whom violence was evident from childhood on, utility developmentally specific system categorization is questioned. It suggested that it pattern parent interaction rather than course maltreatment related emotional behavioral dysfunction victim.
