摘要: In this paper the free vibrations of an in-extensional simply supported rotating shaft with nonlinear curvature and inertia are considered. Rotary gyroscopic effects included, but shear deformation is neglected. To analyze shaft, method multiple scales used. This applied to discretized equations, directly partial differential equations motion, which demonstrates same results. An expression derived describes in two transverse planes. It found that case, both forward backward natural frequencies being excited. The results perturbation validated numerical simulations.
