摘要: As a major component of lignin and abundantly existing in softwood hardwood, ferulic acid has been used as lignin-related compound for biodegradation study. Biodegradation by Cupriavidus sp. B-8, newly isolated strain, was studied. This strain is able to utilize wide range aromatic compounds the sole carbon energy source, including guaiacol, veratric acid, vanillic cinnamic p-coumaric sinapic acid. In addition, effects different concentrations on growth B-8 were The better under condition lower concentration. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis reveals that above 95% degraded within 12 h B-8. Based identification intermediates further metabolites, pathway proposed. Ferulic initially converted 4-vinylguaiacol, oxidized protocatechuic
