摘要: Abstract The formation of a denser and more viscous secondary liquid phase may impact the fluid dynamic behaviour industrial ebullated bed reactors such as hydroprocessors. This study investigates effects particle size, shape material on global gas-liquid-liquid-solid fluidized beds subject to agglomeration. Ebullated experiments were carried out in 152.4 mm diameter column at atmospheric conditions with biodiesel continuous liquid, 5 wt.% glycerol dispersed nitrogen. Glass spheres diameters 4 1.5 mm compared aluminum cylinders equivalent volume surface area ratios, where sphericity both larger smaller was approximately 0.8. In liquid-solid bed, previous particles intermediate settling flow regime (0.2 LT∞
