Density measurements under pressure for the binary system (ethanol+methylcyclohexane)

摘要: Abstract The density of the asymmetrical binary system composed ethanol and methylcyclohexane has been measured under pressure using a vibrating tube densimeter. measurements have performed for eight different compositions as well pure compounds at temperatures in range 283.15 K to 353.15 ten isobars up 45 MPa. uncertainty reported densities is estimated be 0.1 kg · m−3. A non-monotonical behavior involving minimum versus composition found this system. data used study influence temperature, on excess molar volume, isothermal compressibility, isobaric thermal expansion, revealing that volume expansion occurs results interpreted due changes intermolecular distances or free-volume, disruption order molecular structure breaking hydrogen bonds within self-associating alcohol.
