摘要: A theoretical discussion is given of the solitary wave. Part I concerned with wave on a water surface; II considers at interface two superimposed liquids different density, bounded above and below by rigid surfaces. In higher approximations are obtained for speed propagation, limits to derived from momentum theorem. The results include correction second approximation Weinstein. first derived. equations yield amplitude. DOI: 10.1111/j.2153-3490.1956.tb01249.x
