摘要: This chapter handles assessment of the innermost layer Semantic Web cake, i.e., ontology, through a metrics suite called OntoMod. We assess syntactical composition in addition to its behavioral aspect application. Firstly, novel cohesion and coupling have been discussed, which are found be superior terms accuracy expressive power than existing metrics, on sample ontologies. Furthermore, by using continuous scale measurement, tackling indirect relationships our can account for subtle dissimilarities among different modularizations same ontology. Hence, key role OntoMod is help ontology engineer choosing most suitable modularization according fitness (re)use, regardless type size. Secondly, improved structural complexity an formulated.
