摘要: A sheet of expanded metal is conventionally fabricated from that slit and stretched (expanded) to form a structure with interstices. (Mulder, 2005). When expanding the diamond like cell pattern formed which characterised by two geometrical axes. This product can be used for catwalks, electrical applications, safety fences, decorative purposes also as reinforcement concrete. Currently structural application, however little information found regarding behavior elements made metal. The aim this paper study axial collapse square round tubes under compressive loading describe global these structures. Quasi-static compression tests were performed at room temperature in MTS machine order investigate influence angle between major axis load direction. From results, three types response observed depending on orientation axes: (1) Mode 1 characterized plastic mechanism; (2) 2 local buckling individual cells; (3) 3 tube walls.
