The effects of Anethum graveolens L. on female reproductive system.

摘要: The effects of Anethum graveolens L. (dill) extracts on the female reproductive system were studied in 54 Wistar rats with regular estrous cycle six groups. experimental groups fed 0.045 g/kg and 0.45 aqueous extract, 0.5 5 ethanol extract for 10 days. sham group was solvent controls received no treatment. changes determined by daily vaginal smear changes. At beginning at end experiment blood samples provided to determine estradiol progesterone concentration. ovaries prepared histologically volume different follicles estimated. A significant increase observed duration diestrus phase concentration high dose stereological study did not reveal any volumes ovaries, primary, secondary graafian follicles. Dill can be used either as a regulatory agent menstrual women irregular cycles or an antifertility agent. More studies are needed clarify properties this herb.
