摘要: Abstract Two series of bimetallic Pt-Sn/alumina catalysts have been prepared by impregnation samples industrial Pt/alumina reforming with solutions Sn(IV) chloride in acetone. The Pt content was constant at 0.3 wt% and the tin varied over range to 5.0 wt%. reducibility determined temperature-programmed reduction, reduction flowing hydrogen, followed reoxidation oxygen. results show that catalyses tin. However, average oxidation state after is Sn(II), no further occurs even when present, or continued for long times. independent concentration on catalyst whole from 5.0wt%. dispersion has determined, as a function content, measuring amount hydrogen chemisorbed. chemisorption experiments adsorbed increased which indicates increases Pt. It concluded stabilised Sn(II) interaction support and, consequently, proper Pt-Sn alloys are formed these catalysts. role cannot be divide up surface into small ensembles atoms. proposed special properties due change electronic particles either ions surface, incorporation few percent metallic solid solution.
