摘要: Object. Facet screw fixation is the lowest profile lumbar stabilization method. In this study immediate biomechanical stability provided by two different types of are compared: translaminar facet (TLFS) and transfacetopedicular (TFPS) placement after anterior interbody fusion (ALIF) using a femoral ring allograft. Both were also compared with gold standard, transpedicular rod (TSR) fixation. Methods. Twenty-four human lumbosacral spines tested in following sequence: intact state, discectomy, ALIF, TLFS, TFPS, or TSR Intervertebral motions measured video-based motion capture system. The range (ROM) neutral zone (NZ) for each loading to maximum 7.5 Nm. ROMs stand-alone ALIFs less than but similar those spine, NZs slightly increased all modes. both TLFS TFPS significantly decreased from spine modes ALIF flexion extension. fixations reduced below that Compared revealed lower values, except lateral bending rotation. There no significant differences between among fixations, was inferior bending. Conclusions. Stand-alone may not provide sufficient stability. produced additional comparable Although result, TFPSs can be placed percutaneously assistance fluoroscopic guidance it makes posterior minimally invasive. Therefore, considered as good alternative
