摘要: Although left ventricular thrombi are associated with an increased embolic risk in the first few weeks after acute myocardial infarction, long-term remains undefined. To ascertain incidence of strictly defined systemic emboli, we followed 85 patients echocardiographically documented thrombi. At time entry echocardiogram, most (n = 57) had remote while 19 recent (less than 1 month) and nine idiopathic cardiomyopathy. Because difficulty classifying events as advanced atherosclerosis, a matched control group 91 without was also studied. The thrombus groups were similar regard to anterior ejection fraction, atrial fibrillation, echocardiographic referral for source warfarin therapy. During mean follow-up 22 months echocardiography, occurred 13% (11 85) compared 2% (two 91) (p less .01). actuarial probability being embolus free at 2 years echocardiography 86% 97% All greater month infarction (range 96 months). only clinical or features predictive embolization protrusion mobility (both p .02). We conclude that is definitely subjects during follow-up.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
