摘要: The primary function of the pulmonary circulation is to deliver blood alveolar capillaries exchange gases. Distributing over a vast surface area facilitates gas exchange, yet vascular tree must be constrained fit within thoracic cavity. In addition, pressures remain low circulatory system protect thin capillary membranes that allow efficient exchange. engineered for these unique requirements and in turn special attributes affect spatial distribution flow. As largest organ body, physical characteristics lung vary regionally, influencing on large-, moderate-, small-scale levels.
