Optimal placement and size of piezoelectric patches on beams from the controllability perspective

摘要: This paper is concerned with the optimal design of a collocated pair piezoelectric patch actuators that are surface bonded onto beams. The involves selecting locations and sizes (or lengths) based on controllability perspective. objective function referred to as index, which singular value control matrix. index measures input energy required achieve desired structural by actuators. dependent placement size patches, thus maximizing designer can obtain actuator. As illustrations, various beam examples solved characteristics examined.
