摘要: Visual search is an important component of our interaction with surroundings, allowing us to successfully identify external cues that impact spatial navigation. Previous research has established fixation duration, count, saccade velocity, and amplitude as indices visual search. We examined the Efficiency Detection Index (VEDI) comprising multiple aspects performance into a single measure global performance. Forty participants, 10 adults ages 22-48, children 6, 8, 10, completed tests working memory in response stimuli relevant pedestrian decision making. Results indicated VEDI statistically relates relation their interpretability for human The was also sensitive developmental differences performance, suggesting insight its utility psychological literature.
